5 Steps to Achieve Great Success

Your success depends only on one thing - yourself! Yes, no one can make you successful except yourself. No one will do it for you. Yes, you can ask for someone’s help along the way, but you have to be the driving force to keep things moving forward.

You have to #wantsuccess. You have to be hungry for it. To fuel your hunger, you must strive for something you really love doing. You should also be willing to pursue it and #makesacrifices along the way. Here’s what you need to do:

1. You’ve got to want success more than anything else.

I have not heard of anyone who works hard in order to fail. Everyone’s #goal is always to succeed. It’s the #ultimategoal for any endeavor.

So how do you #ensuresuccess? You ensure it by setting a goal that you are truly passionate about. Why? This is because you wouldn’t have enough #motivation if you would pursue something you care very little about.

Wanting it enough is going to get you through the hard times. There are going to be #challenges and things are not always going to work out. Hold on to the hope that things will get better, and they will.

So, clear your mind, relax. You may even need to take some time off from work so you could really think about it. Examine your heart and mind, and find out what your real #purpose is.

2. Write down your plans on how to #achievesuccess.

Having a specific goal or purpose is not sufficient. You have to plan on how you want to achieve it. Write down your step-by-step actions, and make sure you stick to them.

Make sure to keep your written #planofaction in a place that you frequent or often see. Write them on sticky notes if you have to, then post them on a board, your mirror, your refrigerator, the dashboard or sun visor in your car, or in front of your laptop or PC. This way, you get reminded of the tasks you need to accomplish.

Keep track of the steps you need to do. Cross out each task or milestone that you finish. You can also create a reminder for each task to make sure you don’t forget them.

3. Get out of your comfort zone.

If you’re wondering why you still have not achieved the success you want, it’s probably because you haven’t really tried your best to work on it. Real talk.

As I’ve mentioned, you have to be ready to #makesacrifices so get out of your comfort zone. Being comfortable with the way things are now in your life could be the very reason why you are not yet successful.

It’s time to do something different. #Changeyourlife and seek the best version of yourself.

4. Commit to your goal.

“Nothing will work unless you do.” ~Maya Angelou

Maya Angelou is a Pulitzer Prize winning author who wrote poems that have inspired people all over the world. What does she have to say about achieving your dreams? It takes #commitment. You need to be ready to work through the day and night to make what you want happen. Excuses are useless.

You have to be very specific when crafting your goal or dream. Wanting to be successful is not enough. You have to know the very thing you want to be successful in. Perhaps you want to have your own retail business or online shop, or a career in film-making.

Whatever it is you want to achieve, you have to be really #passionate about it. Commit to it with your heart and soul. It should inspire you to #keepmovingforward to the point that you want to push yourself to the limit until you achieve it.

5. Enjoy what you do.

The best explanation for this is a quote that says: “If you do what you love, you'll never work a day in your life.”

Truly, if you are doing something you love, it would be #passion, not work. Remember that success is not defined by a mere achievement of the end goal. In order to be truly successful, you have to experience all the steps of the entire process, and enjoy every moment of it. You have to be happy with what you are doing.
