Are you content with the kind of life you have now? Can you imagine yourself living your kind of life now until you are old?
If you’re not content, it only means one thing - you still want more in life! You still have #goals that you need fulfilled, or wants that need to be satisfied. What are you doing about it?
1. Dream big! It makes you work harder.
Working to fulfill your dreams is not an easy task. It would take a lot of #hardwork, self-discipline, and #motivation. Make your big dream the driving force that would kick you out of bed every morning.
You have to learn to sacrifice attitudes or routines you’ve been doing that will not help build your dream. Examples are frequent leisure travels, night outs with friends, etc.
You need to spend much of your waking time planning your strategies to #achieveyourgoal. You have to get rid of distractions. You have to #focus. Remember that no #success could be achieved by being complacent.
2. A big dream makes you excited to face each new day.
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” - Eleanora Roosevelt
I remember when I was just planning on what I wanted to do in my life, and finally decided on my big dream. My mind was always alert. Sometimes it kept me awake until the wee hours of the morning. My mind was full of #ideas, and they kept me up because I was very excited to fulfill it.
I have a lot in my mind, and ideas kept going through my brain so that sometimes, I have to write everything down or draft them just so I could rest and could finally sleep.
That’s how you should feel when you finally have your dream. You fill your mind with ideas and watch them unfold. It makes you so excited that you can’t wait for the next day so you can work on your dream again.
3. It keeps you motivated.
If you have finally crafted your dream or #goal, it will keep you motivated; it will keep you going. That’s exactly what a goal should do - to push you to work harder for it.
You will surely encounter impediments along the way but do not let them derail you. Keep going through your #pathtosuccess, and do not veer away from it.
From time to time, you may need to take a breather. Go to the beach or park, unwind. It will help clear your mind and will keep your focused on the end result which is #greatsuccess!
Tips to Achieve Your Big Dream
1. Do not compare your achievements with others. Everyone has their own time frame for achieving their dreams.
2. Remember that what works for others may not work for you so do not envy them. Plan your own #strategies that fit what you require.
3. Do not believe people who say you can’t do things, or you do not have the qualities of a successful person. Prove them wrong. You owe it to yourself.
4. Do not be afraid to #makemistakes. Many successful people have failed countless times before finally succeeding.
Arianna Huffington, founder of the Huffington Post, was rejected 36 times by different publishers. She persisted and finally realized her dreams. Don’t be afraid to fail again and again. #Keeppushing and you will break through.
5. Dream! Push! Pursue! Remember the saying: “A quitter never wins, and a winner never quits.”
There will definitely be days when you would feel like you want to give up on your dream because achieving it seems impossible. You shouldn’t. Find someone to give you a boost - a family member, friend, or colleague that you can talk to. If you need expert advice, reach out to me.
